Gardening Gone Wild is sponsoring their final photography contest for 2009, appropriately entitled
'End of the Line'. My photo shows the last of the color on the tip of a leafless branch, surrounded by other remaining (colorless) leaves. To me, it signifies determination and strength before letting go...a metaphor for life itself.
I chose this same photo earlier this month as my blog header, for the same symbolic reason. Hanging on...before letting go and facing a 'new' season of life.
--Today I am thankful for the seasons of life.

ReplyDeleteVery nice image for the "End of the Line". I had the same thought about the last leaves hanging on but couldn't quite find that perfect branch. Your's does quite nicely...
ReplyDeleteAnd quite generally your fall colors are beautiful. I missed a lot of the Fall while we were on travel so some of that experience is put off until next year.
Very pretty pic. I love the red veining that contrasts with the yellow-green on the leaf.
