I've taken a long break from my blog but just can't seem to get rid of my desire to post occasionally. Considering the variety of birds that visit me each winter, it's a shame not to share. Here are just a few recent visitors that I photographed using my new point-and-shoot:
Top L-R: Pileated Woodpecker, Bluebird; Bottom L-R: Mourning Dove, Red-Bellied Woodpecker
I tend to think my SLR takes better shots, especially of wildlife & birds. Nearly every photo I've ever taken of them has been from inside the house, through the kitchen window. The new Canon Powershot S90 is a great little camera, but still can't live up to my Nikon D40-X.
As usual, so many photos to post, but so little time! My posts may begin to appear again, but there may be less writing and even 'wordlessness'. Imagine that;~} I will continue to follow those whose blogs I've come to know and love. You know who you are!
--Today I am thankful for being able to share backyard birds with others who have similar interests.
