Today is the last day of June...but I had intended to post about a few mid-June bloomers for Carol's Garden Bloggers Bloom Day, on May Dreams Gardens. I'd even uploaded the photos to the blog but forgot to hit publish! In just 2 weeks, things have changed...but this is how things looked 2 weeks ago:

Lots of native beebalm (Monarda didyma):
On the trellis is some clematis that bloomed earlier, and in the background is nepata (catmit) mixed with a lot of plants that can't be seen, either they've already bloomed or have yet to bloom (Penstamon has bloomed, Tradescantia blooms on and off,, Rudbeckia, Sedum, Phlox, Japanese Anenome and others have yet to bloom)

A container of geraniums (I've had these for several years. I just pull them up in the fall, stick them in a paper bag or box, and put them in the garage. After the last frost, I take them out and plant them!)
