Peony 'Bowl of Beauty' really is a charmer. She's new to the garden this year, having been planted from a rhizome last year and already giving out loads of buds the very first year:
Here she is with Iris pallida 'Aureo Variegata':
I've never had Catmint in my garden...until recently, when I added several plants in different locations. Nepeta x fassenni
'Walkers Low':

Catmint in a pot:
I have 3 Allium Globemasters that had large buds but they never opened. I think that is because I just planted them late (in January) when I planted some daffodils...although the daffodils opened, despite the late planting. Here is Allium christophii (Star of Persia):

Allium 'Globemaster'...1 of 3 that never bloomed (this was in a pot, the other 2 were
in the ground. I've since put them all in the ground) |
I
missed am
late for
Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day this month, and I missed April entirely--so I'll try to make some shorter posts to show what's been blooming for the past 2 months...

The other day I had a Pedicure for the first time in over a year. It was really relaxing! I've been dealing with some back and nerve-pain issues lately, as well as Achilles tendinitis...and just am not 'on the ball' as much as I'd like. I have a TON of garden photos, as I take them almost every day, yet, I don't seem to be able to gather my thoughts and organize things like I used to. I'll try to make some shorter posts, highlighting just a few plants each time, so you can see what's been happening in my garden. It has really been beautiful this year--sorry about not blogging much or visiting your blogs like I used to. |
What gifts have you discovered today?
