As much of the country has dipped into the single digits and below zero, I have to be sure my pups are kept toasty warm. I know they are spoiled. They are my babies.
Our frozen stream |
Usually, they wear 'one or the other'...meaning, 'either' the sweaters, 'or' the winter jackets. But this calls for doubling up on resources! Here they are in their cozy sweaters:
And here they are after putting the coats over the sweaters. I even got them little hoods to put on their heads to keep their ears (and head) warm. These also work well when it's raining...keeps them from getting soaked and matted!
The stream is only partially frozen. The pump is recirculating the water so areas of the waterfalls continue to function:
Harry's south-end as he quickly heads back inside...
A view of James bundled in his cold-weather gear:
Ginny was actually the quickest of the three; she got back on the deck and stood at the door to the house almost as quickly as she went out:
I was able to stand on the stream. I've watched squirrels and birds do the same thing all day today.

Oh my gosh your babies are cute in their sweaters and coats. Everyone needs extra layers right now!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a good mom. That stream looks lovely partially frozen--ice formations, especially flows, are so fascinating. Stay warm, Jan!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, your babies are so adorable. I would have been just like Ginny! I'm sure your waterfall is really appreciated by the animals. Your weather widget says 27 so you must be on the upward swing. Yay!!
ReplyDeleteJan, those pups are adorable in their little coats, and from the looks of the outdoors they NEED them!!! I'm sure they are grateful for a warm home to live in!! Take care this winter!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much for your sweet comments :)
