Harry and Ginny were named after characters in the Harry Potter book series. My daughter (the biggest HP fanatic ever) came up with the names. Ginny was originally her dog. We rescued her when her owner didn't pick her up from the kennel my daughter was working at one summer.

Harry and Ginny became inseparable. And I couldn't bear to have either one of them leave me when my daughter moved to an apartment last year.
She has since adopted two greyhounds, right off the racing track. We often get all the dogs together. I'll post about all of them one day...
Meanwhile, this is Ginny and Harry's post.
They have their own Christmas stockings. Actually, there isn't much that they don't have (!). Talk about spoiled. Yep. That they are.
...which is the majority of the time :)

What cuties! I can certainly relate to this, Jan--we have three dogs, but only Sophie, the Golden Retriever, is actually mine. Coconut is my daughter's Pomeranian and was supposed to move with her when she moved out. But she works such long hours that she decided Coco is better off with us where he has playmates and frequent time outside. Our newest, a Pug named Frank, was a rescue by my other daughter; his living with us was supposed to be temporary until they got a house. My daughter and son-in-law now have a new house, but of course Frank has settled in here now:) The three of them are a handful at times, but I don't know what I'd do without them!
ReplyDeleteOMG Rose, your story is so similar! Isn't funny how WE got so attached to 'their' dogs?! I can't give them up even though they are a handful too!! The good seems to outweigh the bad. I've turned into one of those weird, crazy dog ladies! But I love it!! This must be what age does to us!
