My soul seeks and finds solace and nourishment in nature, whether I am gardening, taking a walk,
or looking out the window at the changing seasons.
I have not been successful in finding God in a building, but He is with me every day in my garden.
I've not been able to discover meaning in walls of cement or stone or clay or wood, but my purpose unfolds before me each day as I interact with creatures in the soil, critters on the blooms and chirpers in the air.

That was beautiful. Such peaceful scenes.
ReplyDeletebeautiful - my sentiments exactly :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post, Jan. I agree it is hard to walk through such lovely scenes and not be in awe and feel a little closer to God, whatever beliefs one follows.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Jan. My sentiments exactly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and inspirational post! I have found so much comfort and peace in my garden. And lessons learned about life (and death).
ReplyDeleteLovely! Christians will note that the three most significant events happened in gardens - the fall from the garden of Eden, then the work that overcomes the effects of the fall - the atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the resurrection in the garden of the empty tomb. Regardless of beliefs, though, gardens are healing, uplifting places.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely place you have for your sanctuary. I'm sure you'd agree with my email signature. "You're closer to God's heart in a garden than any place else on earth."
