This photo is from October, 2007...but it reminds me of what, and who, I am thankful for :)
My precious children and my loving husband of almost 36 years! God has truly blessed me beyond measure. |
It has been 10 yrs. since I was diagnosed and treated for cancer of the palate. It was a scary time but I got through it and life is going on, thankfully. If you would like to read about the details, click on this link, which should take you to the:
ABOUT section of this blog I just had to post about it today because it was in November of 2003 that I began radiation sessions which led to the completion of the treatment in January 2004. I will celebrate again in January 2014;)
What gifts have you discovered today?
Until next time,

Very happy for you, Jan. Now I really understand the name of your blog. You're quite right. Even without such a health scare, we should be thankful for today.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Helen :) It is a great reminder for me when I 'forget' to choose 'thankfulness' in any given moment, but yes, being thankful is something we need to embrace with or without 'crises' in our lives...
DeleteSo good to see you celebrating. Have a happy thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThank you GSS...happy thanksgiving to you, as well!
DeleteJan how wonderful to hear the story and to be reminded what we all have to be thankful for!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donna. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours :)
DeleteIt's a shame that it can take a health scare for us to realize how much we have to be grateful for. It's been ten years since hubby's heart attack, and every day is precious.
ReplyDeleteDid not know about your husband, Robin...so glad he is doing well!! Yes, every day is precious! Happy Thanksgiving :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful family portrait! Yes, I would say you have reason to celebrate. I'm so thankful you're one of my garden blogging friends, too.
