WOW! How very cool to have gotten a photo of this beautiful hawk!
ReplyDeleteJan,
ReplyDeleteBetting the local feeder birds were not at all happy to see this guy!
I saw a Red-tailed perched over our pond a few days ago, but to my knowledge it did not stick around.
Great capture Jan!
ReplyDeleteJan, that is a beauty! great photo.
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful birds Jan.I see one once in a while but not as often as you would expect living in a state parks area. They reintroduced some eagles near here and whenever I am out I am always watching for a glimpse of one. While my daughter and I were hiking one day I was constantly looking up while walking along the trail. I finally told her I had better stop that before I walked into a tree head on. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!! I never seem to have a camera handy when I see a bird of prey. :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! What kind of hawk is it?
ReplyDeleteYep. This looks similar to the one that visited my garden the other day. I hope this hawk didn't get any of your feathered friends.
