ReplyDeleteDarla, aren't those Yankee feeders superb?
Hi Patsi...thanks;-) Hoping I'll be able to do justice to it;-)
Slightly belated happy blogaversary, anniversary, and huge congrats on your new role as a blogger for the magazine, Jan. That's wonderful news in a trifecta! Here's looking forward to the next many years of creativity and marital bliss.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and belated Happy New Year Jan. How lovely it is to be a garden blog writer. That is my envy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the blogiversary! Wow, it really has been a long time since I visited. Now I've got to read through and catch up with everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat's super cool that you blog for a magazine too. Looks like you've been keeping busy too!
Dear Jodi, I'm so glad we're reconnected...and I owe you an email. Thanks for the kudos.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you ARE a garden blog writer! Keep doing what you're doing and see where it leads ya. That's all I'm doing. Just having fun, isn't that what it's all about?!
Thanks to you all for stopping by and Happy New Year;-)
Hi Cinj! I think you must have just posted your comment while I was posting my last one! Didn't see it there until now! Thank you, and it's been a while since I've been to see you too. This crazy garden-blogging world is HUGE, isn't it?! Once-a-year visits are becoming the norm, it seems!! Happy New Year to you and yours;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Jan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and saying hello.
That sounds very prestigious, writing for V gardener Magazine. I will be sure to check that out.
You are right, there are many bloggers these days, but I have noticed that a lot just fade away after awhile. I don't plan on quitting... it is too addictive!
Hugs,
Rosey (Camille)
Hi Jan! Thanks for your congrats on finishing the MG classes. Now for all those volunteer hours! :) In Dallas, you have to apply for admission--this past year 100 applied and they took 50. I have no idea why they selected me except perhaps because I turned in my application the first day I could. I also told them all about my passion for gardening which may have helped. Don't give up on finding a class. You would be perfect! I did have to wait about 4 months to see if I got in so it is not immediate. Good luck and please keep me posted!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Linda at Meadowview Thymes
Rosey, thanks for stopping by! The blogging for the Va Gardener is not a paid job...but it should be a lot of fun. Les from A Tidewater Gardener and Alan from Birds'nStuff are also doing it for VA. Dave of The Home Garden does TN, and Phillip of Dirt Therapy does AL, and Jean of Dig, Grow Compost Blog does OK...she's the editor of StatebyStateGardening who publishes these magazines.I am honored to be able to do it & hope I can do it justice;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for that info on the MG program, Linda. I guess it's in high demand and I will be patient until my time comes!
Thanks everyone for stopping by!
Happy blog anniversary!
