I just had to give these sweeties a post of their own. They are both female. I can't wait to show you my birds from my birdcount and project feederwatch.
Have a great day!
--Today I am thankful for bluebirds in my yard.
Words and photos by Jan Huston DobleThanks For 2 Day.
They really are adorable, and inquisitive too. The eyes tell a lot ... ~bangchik
ReplyDeleteWhat expressions! Such lovely, huge, soulful eyes they have!
ReplyDeleteJan they are so beautiful. I just love Blue birds and have added another blue bird house for them last Fall. I am hoping to get more to come into my yard. That is a wonderful shot girl!
ReplyDelete*Thanks for stopping by, too.... Yes - the bottle worked perfectly! Over the next couple days the seeds popped out as it warmed up. They have all collected nicely at the bottom of the bottle.
ReplyDeleteTalk soon...
They do have large eyes for such a small little beauty. I still can't get used to seeing such exotic, for us, birds on other bloggers posts.
ReplyDeleteBTW, we saw a raccoon last night, again.... on our deck. I guess that is as exotic as we go.
Good thing we had just brought Bootsie in.
I just found your comment, that you made days ago, sometimes Blogger drives me crazy. It has a habit of hiding them lately, and they show up days later.
Yes it seems to be spring here, kind of makes up for last year.
Wishing you a early spring also.
Jen
wonder what those little beauties were staring at?
ReplyDeleteTerrific photo Jan. They are the sweetest birds. I wish I had some in my yard!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are, Jan, to have such visitors!
ReplyDeleteTerrific photo, Jan. Can't wait to hear about your bird count. Have a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so cute! I tried to take a quick photo of a cardinal today that was on our feeder. He was too quick for me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture Jan! I see what you mean about their eyes too. Mm... I'm thinking, that they're thinking, they deserve a post of their own :-D
ReplyDeleteTheir big eyes are charming. Great capture, Jan!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do deserve their own post! What a great photo, Jan! I'm curious, too, just what they were looking at.
ReplyDeleteThey do have big eyes and they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteBig eyes and so serious looking and a little shy looking. But so beautiful and special. Are you sure those aren't little "fake" birds that you're planning to use for the Easter baskets?
ReplyDeleteIs your snow melting? We haven't had any big snowstorms, but it's still cold and we're still walking on water (ice).

You have the best collection of blue birds!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! How do you do it. I swear, each time I get near my camera, all the birds fly away. In a hurry.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are stunning. Can't wait for more.
They do have big beautiful eyes! Great picture, Jan!
ReplyDeleteHello, Jan!
ReplyDeleteLong time no see...
Beautiful birds indeed!
See you soon!
They are such little beauties Jan! They remind me just a little of our Blue Wrens, but they seem so much softer and gentler than our strident little wrens!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet. I wish we had them in our yard!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! What a sweet picture...beautiful Jan! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteSo adorable... they look as if they are keeping an eye on you. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you have the Titmouse? They have some cute bird eyes as well. I can never pick a favorite in the bird kingdom as I love them all for different reasons....
