"In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year,
bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.
And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November."
- Rose G. Kingsley, The Autumn Garden
The 1st of each month is Garden Blogger Muse Day at Sweet Home and Garden Chicago, hosted by Carolyn Gail. Visit her to see more garden blogger musings!
--Today I am thankful for a rainbow of color in autumn.
Words and photos by Jan Huston DobleThanks For 2 Day.
I luv the combination of the pretty fall colors along with water. Your photos are stunning. I've been unable to participate in Garden Bloggers' Muse Day for several months now because my computer won't let me leave a comment on Carol Gail's blog. My junky computer doesn't like the embedded form, only pop up. I know, I know.....why don't I get a new computer? One of these days.
ReplyDeleteWonderful fall photos Jan, love the fountain.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Jan. Happy November Muse Day!
ReplyDeleteMy, what wonderful fall color you have!! P.S. Wait, what?? James is an orange tabby cat, not a white poodle!! (LOL!)
ReplyDeleteJames is my cat and he predates Harry Potter (he's almost 17). I wouldn't have picked the name James for him, but that was what he was already called and it really suited him (still does!). I named Fiona as she was a stray who wouldn't tell me her real name, LOL! (She predates Shrek, too, btw!)
ReplyDeleteWhat incredible fall colours, beautiful post. :)
ReplyDeleteThose fall colors are magnificent!!
ReplyDeleteOh Jan! Those pictures are so beautiful. I long to get my garden to have all those colors blazing in Autumn. Getting there bit by bit. Oh wow. Those are so gorgeous.

Beautiful fall colors. Does it really look like that where you are? We had a mild day, but most of the brilliant color is gone.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jan! What spectacular fall colors! The collages are beautiful, and I'm so glad you were able to get some pictures of the trees and leaves!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comment and especially for asking about my dad. He is doing well and slowly recovering. We are so thankful that his latest scans and all of his test have come back looking very good.
These are all such super lovely photos..beautiful!! Very uplififting!
