(Pink & Purple Phlox, Pink Cosmos, Black Eyed Susans, White Gaura, and Red Carpet Roses).
It's really beginning to look fall-like, yet there's still enough color and variety that, if you don't look too closely, you might not notice the acorns that have dropped like mad all around the yard! Instead, your eye might be drawn to the remaining blooms that still grace the gardens:

Agastache (L) and Impatience (R)
Turtlehead
Lavender

Here we have part of the back yard:
There are more--plants in the original pots from garden centers--that I still haven't put in the ground. We are having some nice days next week, in the 60's, so I plan to do that then. To see more Garden Blogger Bloom Day posts from around the world, visit Carol's May Dreams Gardens.
--Today I am thankful for warm temperatures and flowers, which help me feel like it's still spring in October;-)

ReplyDeleteGreat collection of blooms, glad you shared with us. I imagine within the next couple days it will be a bit wilted from the cold. We are having super high tides with this nor'easter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post, Jan. Lots of beautiful flowers to enjoy! It would be fun to see a rerun of some of these mid-Winter! :-)
ReplyDeleteStill plenty of interest in the garden and some sunny days by the looks of the photos and more to come by the sounds of it.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things still blooming there! I have some too, but it's too cold and wet to go out and enjoy them. Tonight will be our first hard freeze, and so I've gone out to bid them a fond farewell till next spring. If you enjoyed my Sedona eye candy, be sure to stop by my blog again today for more!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauties you have! Truly reasons to be thankful for each new day.
