It's not yet Halloween, but that hasn't stopped FlowerGardenGirl (Anna) from thinking ahead to Christmas.
She is sponsoring Garden Bloggers Operation Christmas Child. If you are a garden blogger, this activity is counting on you for its success! If you aren't a garden blogger, or you don't blog at all, please consider participating as well, in this very worthy cause: the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child headquartered out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Anna writes: "Every year they collect shoeboxes filled with items appropriate for little boys and girls and then deliver them to needy children all over the globe. It is a massive operation and not one penny goes to waste."
Please visit Anna and donate to help make some little children very happy this Christmas.

Words and photos by Jan Huston DobleThanks For 2 Day.
Thank you so very very much. I am determined to meet and hopefully exceed the $2,000 goal which I think we can make that I set for us. I've never known a better bunch of people than garden bloggers. You can got to the post and have your name added to the list once you've given.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!! I promise to represent the Garden Bloggers well when I make the boxes of goodies for the little kids. Thank you for the post and making your donation.
On the day I make of the boxes, I'll video the process and then post about it on my blog.
Samaritan's Purse is a wonderful organization. We do Operation Christmas Child at our church. It's fun putting the shoe boxes together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting :) The Obedient plant is considered a thug in some people's gardens, but it behaves well in that spot where I have it. I hope yours does well.
That is a great idea! Our church does that every year and we participate there.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend,
Carolyn
I'm glad this concept is so popular, as others are reporting. At my (ex-)workplace, they also do a version of this for local kids.
ReplyDeleteA worthy cause, we do this with our local church body each year.
