Aug. GBBD: Late to the Party Again!

August 15th was yesterday, but today I took photos of my yard and gardens and here is what I've come up with, in collage format. I am unable to remove the 'February 2009' from the top of the collage, so please excuse the misinformation! I really did take most of these photos this morning (though some of them were taken in the past week).

You can click on the collage to view the images in a larger format. Please use your imagination and knowledge stores to name each bloom...most of them are self-explanatory!

(NOTE: These were taken TODAY, August 16th, 2009).

Although I'm a day late, I didn't want to miss the GBBD train! Thanks to Carol, May Dreams Gardens, for this monthly event, where Garden Bloggers from around the world post their garden photos. Take a look at her site for more lovely blooms!

--Today I am thankful for garden bloggers and their blooms;-)

  3. Hey, at least you participated; the timing's not so important (to my mind, anyway). The tomatoes are my favorite "bloom." :)

  4. Jan, your garden still looks so green and lush! I have many dried out (dead!) plants that need to come out but I'm still busy trying to pull weeds before I do deadheading chores. Better late than never for GBD!

  7. Hi Jan, I've been goofing off over on Facebook building farms. lol We did get to The Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. We had virtually no spring and a up and down summer so our gardens were off. Lots of company.

    I hope your feeling better.

  9. Hi Jan Lovely collage it took me a few minutes to figure out how to see bigger photos but it was worth it. The butterfly one reminds me to try taking some myself but at present Mike and I are having a big task getting things in control after my two week break.
Your new bed at the front is coming on nicely you must be pleased with it.
