Please Vote for Luna the Greyhound!


At the end of May, my daughter rescued a 2 yr old Greyhound straight off the track. At first, Luna was very timid. She was not used to any luxuries such as a sofa, or real bed, or someone giving her love. It took some time before she would even let out a bark.

Luna's typical daily stretching positions--she sleeps like this!
She is still quiet and shy but gets along very well with our standard poodle, James, and 2 doxies, Ginny and Harry. Luna so loves her new home and spending time with her new 'cousins'.


We all went to the beach together this summer and had a great time.



My daughter entered Luna in a 'cute pet' photo contest sponsored by our local news/media services. Voting began this morning and runs through 11:59 am on August 17th. If you feel so inclined, we hope you'll visit the link and vote for Luna! You can vote once per day.

    She's lovely! Luna is a "grinning greyhound" -- they love to grin, especially when upside down.

      Yes, she certainly does have that grin down, Freda! She must know it's an endearing trait and makes people love her ;) I had never known a greyhound before Luna so had no idea how special they are! I remember so well you writing about and showing photos of Charm, and how much you loved her. I can see why. They are wonderful dogs!!

      Donna, thank you...and that is fantastic --and so kind of you. I will share this with my daughter! How nice of you to do this, especially because it's a pain for most people to bother to register. WE truly appreciate it!!!
