At the end of May, my daughter rescued a 2 yr old Greyhound straight off the track. At first, Luna was very timid. She was not used to any luxuries such as a sofa, or real bed, or someone giving her love. It took some time before she would even let out a bark.
Luna's typical daily stretching positions--she sleeps like this! |
We all went to the beach together this summer and had a great time.
My daughter entered Luna in a 'cute pet' photo contest sponsored by our local news/media services. Voting began this morning and runs through 11:59 am on August 17th. If you feel so inclined, we hope you'll visit the link and vote for Luna! You can vote once per day.
Luna and my daughter say 'thanks'!

She's lovely! Luna is a "grinning greyhound" -- they love to grin, especially when upside down.
ReplyDeleteYes, she certainly does have that grin down, Freda! She must know it's an endearing trait and makes people love her ;) I had never known a greyhound before Luna so had no idea how special they are! I remember so well you writing about and showing photos of Charm, and how much you loved her. I can see why. They are wonderful dogs!!
DeleteShe is just gorgeous...I registered and voted for this very special lady
ReplyDeleteDonna, thank you...and that is fantastic --and so kind of you. I will share this with my daughter! How nice of you to do this, especially because it's a pain for most people to bother to register. WE truly appreciate it!!!
DeleteLooks like she is right at home!!
