Thank you for your kind comments;-) My daughter carved the dachshund, and I carved the poodle. We printed patterns from the internet, then taped them to the pumpkins. Then we started cutting!
Wow, y'all are quite talented! Of course, both of your pups are adorable. But I have to say I've a bit of preference for the doxie pumpkin, as your Ginny is the spitting image of my little Pixie. : D
You should be thankful for having tons of artistic ability, too! These are amazing. I can barely get the triangle eyes carved into a pumpkin without messing up.
For us in the tropics, fall is a fascinating season. The foliage, the carvings, Halloween costumes....I'll always LOVE to see them! And I'm so glad I blog and I get to meet a wonderful blogger like you!
I haven't been visiting a great deal of blogs. Fridays and Sundays I'm with two memes and that keeps me pretty active with the commenting.
Hi Jan. I don't have time to post very often either but sometimes I get a set of photos, with wonderful memories attached to them, that I can't resist taking time out to post.
My parents have an enormous black standard poodle named Alexander. He's lots of fun and way too smart for his own good! Yours looks like he's the same as well.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Thinking of you too. Ann
Wow! Jan, these carvings are absolutely awesome...both you and your daughter are so talented! My first ever attempt at skinning a pumpkin to steam a Chinese-style pumpkin cake was less than a week ago...gosh, I never knew it has such a hard skin! Have a lovely day!
I love them :) We have some pretty good looking pups too :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I should have titled it "Pumpkin Pups" :-)
ReplyDeleteI am blown away by the skill of the pumpkin artist. Amazing talent... and mighty cute pups, Ginny and James.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet are those pictures. Ginny and James look like a couple of hams too, enjoying their pictures being taken. The pumpkin carver did a great job.

Wonderful pumpkins. We gave 30 away to the kids in the neighborhood from our from yard pumpkin patch. jim
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! Did you carve them personally? It doesn't look like a simple task to me.
