Clockwise, L to R (above), this bouquet consists of: Ajuga reptans (Bugleweed), Phlox divaricata (Woodland Phlox), Syringa microphylla
(Littleleaf Lilac), Lobelia (not sure which variety), Muscari botryoides (Grape Hyacinth), Coreopsis pubescens 'sunshine superman', Dianthus caryophyllus 'floral lace purple' (Carnation), Iris Reticulata (Dwarf iris), Phlox subulata (Creeping Phlox), Dianthus caryophyllus 'floral lace white' (Carnation)
I've done this three times already (once for Noelle's meme last month; another a few weeks ago, when I was camera-less!; and again, just a week or so ago)--just because I enjoyed it so much and wanted to do it again.
I didn't actually remember it was time for it again, but I just happened to go out yesterday and pick a few small flowers and place them in a miniature vase.
As it turned out, the timing was just right to join in with Noelle.
I didn't take any photos of the little arrangement I created last week, but it just proved to me that I'm no longer afraid to pick a couple of flowers to enjoy them on my windowsill.
Why not? The absence of them is barely noticeable in the garden and the joy they bring into the kitchen is unmeasurable!
Give it a try and post it for Noelle's bouquet of the month!
Today I am thankful for little flowers with a big punch!

I LOVE it! such delicate beauty and put together with such grace :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, that is a lovely and charming little bouquet. Mixed bouquets are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, just a bloom or two from many plants will never be missed in the garden but they will brighten the kitchen wonderfully.

Such a beautiful sweet arrangement. I've got lots of creeping phlox and never think to cut some to put in a vase - great idea! I'm still afraid to cut flowers to bring them inside because I still don't have tons of blooms yet, but hopefully that will change soon!
ReplyDeleteHello Jan,
ReplyDeleteI love your bouquet! I recognize the Lobelia, Coreopsis and Dianthus as I have grown them before. All of your flowers are so pretty.
Thank you for participating!
Noelle
Lovely, Jan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet bouquet. I love the woodland Phlox. The colors are so bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteSweet bouquets..I can't believe your Dianthus is blooming already!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan. Now that is one beautiful bouquet. Have a wonderful week and Happy Earth Day.I did not do a posting. I admit I am not a very green person (more pink & tan LOL!) besides some water conservation.

Wow, how colorful and happy! This is such a neat meme.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am happy for your blog, which always brings a smile to my face! Today, your blog is a breath of fresh, fragrant air! LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteA perfect spring bouquet! I especially love the woodland phlox and dwarf iris. I can't quite yet bring myself to cut any flowers, as most of what is blooming here at the moment is native (except for a few invasive wild geraniums and forget-me-nots, and they'd clash in a vase).
ReplyDeleteI love your color combination! My Dutch irises are blooming and begging to be cut and brought inside.
ReplyDeleteMy first visit here. What a pretty little bouquet. Such vibrant colors. Thanks for the compliments on my bouquet..

Very pretty, Jan! It does look very delicate and I love all the pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteFabulous bouquet. Your woodland phlox looks pinker than mine, what a delicate and romantic color.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bouquet! Perfect colors.
ReplyDeleteThose spring pastels are so cool and refreshing! Wonderful, cheery bouquet!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! And what a great idea. I actually have bouquets of California poppies because I had to trim them from the path. Now I like them so much, I'll probably make another one next weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty bouquet, Jan! I am enjoying a bouquet of the remaining tulips and another one that was given to me with chrysanthemums. I love having flowers from the garden indoors but I usually feel guilty if they are flowers the butterflies enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour bouquet is just beautiful! What a fun idea - I hadn't seen this one before.
ReplyDeleteNice mix of colors! I don't think I've seen a bugleweed flower before - interesting!
