Celebrate Your Freedom!
I hope you are all taking advantage of your freedom and appreciating it too...it was hard earned...and it definitely wasn't free! Pass the watermelon and bring on the fireworks!
--Today I am thankful for being born in America, 'land of the free-home of the brave'.
PS The photos at the lake, above, were taken during our trip in late June (unfortunately we couldn't go anywhere today, but we will see fireworks tonight!).

What freedom from us Brits!? Hahaha. Hope you had a great day, the photos certainly seem to prove it. Happy 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteJan, looks like you celebrated in fine style. Your collage is gorgeous! We had a quiet day after the parade it started raining in earnest so no picnics or fireworks here. But we needed the rain, and the fire works were only postponed.
ReplyDeleteHope it was a fun-filled day, Jan :) Freedom! What a great thing! Your hubby, noodling describes the word exactly. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteLove your garden make over it looks beautiful! I hope you had a happy 4th! I rarely leave comments because I know you have so many to answer! Just wanted to let you know I stop by often and check on you(-:
ReplyDeleteGreat collage!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great day there! We sure did here...family, friends, freedom :), sunny, hot, swimming in the lake. Life can't get any better, can it.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Fabulous montage of images Jan - love the cool poodle :)
ReplyDeleteK
Lovely collage Jan!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful 4th. Is noodling grabbing catfish from the river bank? If that is what you meant then your Hubby is brave.Hey, the poodle is cool ;-0 Great photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteReally, what a lovely collage!
ReplyDeleteHope your family enjoyed the fireworks :)
Hi Jan
ReplyDeleteI haven't posted to that blog since February, so I suspect you have read everything there was to read anyway, just surprised it took you so long to notice the post you mentioned! LOL
Its not a case of keeping it private from anyone in particular, but that I ran out of emotional energy to discuss it anymore. I've been very ill in recent months, and well, I just needed to conserve myself. Much the same has happened with Garden Hopping, I just dont get to go out anywhere to write any more. Hope that makes sense? Drop me an email if you like at zoelynch at unknowndomain dot co dot uk.
Hope all is well with you xx
Lovely collection of photos. I hope you had a great 4th July.
ReplyDeleteI am reserving my judgement on freedom, somewhat biased with all the schinanikens that has been going on with IDSA over flawed Lyme Disease guidelines, which have caused thousands of people the world over to suffer un neccesarily with mis diagnosis and inadequate treatment. Sorry I am banging my drum again and praying 30th July presentation to IDSA review is met with some thinking panelists. I hope you are responding well to treatment.
The only think missing in your patriotic and creative collage is....YOU!
ReplyDeleteOk, that's just tooooo much fun !!
ReplyDeletelol
Lona, you are too funny! Does he look like he's 'catfish noodling'?! He's lounging:-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very fun time for sure! Hope you had lots of fun yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collage. I'm sure you've been having a wonderful time! Happy July!
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful collage says it all... I can see that your family has really really enjoyed 4th July very much!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jan, this is one of my favorite collages you've made! Awesome! I love the one of your husband noodling. Are those noodles connected by something? I use noodles to attempt to keep my hair dry at the school I work at when I'm in the pool with special education students.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, love your red, white and blue collage. You have certainly pictured some of the simple things in life we have to be grateful for and most of all for our great country that makes these things possible.
ReplyDeleteMarnie
Great collage...looks like ya'll had a great time
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun! Glad it was a happy fourth.
ReplyDeleteThe lake looks like a great time Jan. Hope you had a good fireworks show and nice day.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteJan thanks for commenting on my blog, but thanks also because I haven't visited your blog for ages and look what I have been missing-fantastic photographs, your exciting new garden, your lovely collages and so sorry to hear about your ankle. I have so much to catch up on your blog I will have to return later on.
ReplyDeleteIt's all lovely. :)
Love your Fourth of July collage! Your backyard makeover is just awesome, Jan! I really like the overall woodsy-feel to it. Happy July!
ReplyDeleteJust simply glorious, Jan! Your photos are always stupendous. Fun at the lake with family, it is the very definition of summer. :-)
ReplyDeleteFrances
I love a hubby who likes to "noodle" and what good-looking kids you have and the poodle is darling. What is it about the water that everyone wants to be close to it?
ReplyDeleteWonderful and colorful and fun!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the holidays. Being with my husband for three full days was delightful.
Stay cool.
Sherry
