We gardeners wait and wait and wait to get out into the garden so we don't need set-backs like sprained ankles, do we?! I hope you get back on track soon. Sometimes my feet go numb sitting at the computer so long ~ now I'm going to be careful when I get up! At least you have some beautiful blooms to keep you company.Kathleenhttp://kaseyskorner.typepad.com/kaseys_korner/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5651081377378962304.post-92132514011935388812009-06-06T15:30:21.283-04:002009-06-06T15:30:21.283-04:00Jan, I think it was generous of you to share the c...Jan, I think it was generous of you to share the circs of your accident - maybe this will keep some of us from making the same mistake. It only takes a second of inattention at the wrong moment, doesn't it?

One advantage of your current situation: a friend sprained her ankle badly and got a temporary handicap card from Motor Vehicles in her state, allowing her to park in disabled spots. She did really need it, but it was also very handy for the rest of us when we met in LA. So if your state has this service, take advantage! (You might also try taking arnica tablets to speed up the healing. And ice.)

Beautiful collage, I'm glad you're distracting yourself so usefully.Pomona Belvederehttp://www.tulipsinthewoods.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5651081377378962304.post-75108454592711505782009-06-06T07:12:44.962-04:002009-06-06T07:12:44.962-04:00Hi Jan, so sorry to know about your ankle. I need to get thinking about my own part of the deal, the PIF post and gifts. Lagging on this as with many other things lately. I'm so sorry about your ankle, that sounds painful! I am kind of accident-prone myself, have stepped backwards into space and ended up in the ER, hurt my back lifting crazy stuff, etc. It's no fun to be hurt but I hope you will be up and at 'em soon. Can you get a little seat or something so you can still garden? Your flowers look amazing, maybe they will grow all by themselves now that summer is pretty much here.Karenhttp://greenwalks.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5651081377378962304.post-31612644893278613342009-06-05T21:44:59.936-04:002009-06-05T21:44:59.936-04:00I hope your ankle is better soon, Jan -- just sit ...I hope your ankle is better soon, Jan -- just sit back and enjoy that beautiful garden... and heal!Meredithhttp://www.greatstems.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5651081377378962304.post-23822898935073903232009-06-05T21:21:28.149-04:002009-06-05T21:21:28.149-04:00A fun 'wordless' Wednesday, Jan :) Get wel...A fun 'wordless' Wednesday, Jan :) Get well soon ... I just know it's the hardiest of all my roses, growing quickly, blooming all summer long with little in the way of pests or disease. Cutting it back in spring would be a good idea, it wants to be big. But it doesn't climb or go crazy that way.
