The Sun Shines At Night

The moon last night was like the sun

Looking up, I felt as if it might still be day time

Even though I knew it was 10:00 at night

So I grabbed my camera to capture the brilliance

Gazing at the light, I felt the beauty of the moment

Within minutes, clouds moved in, fading blue to gray

And the moon returned to the dark night sky.

  8. This is my first visit to your site and I am so.o.o impressed...your photographs are amazing! Did you take photography lessons? What sort of camera do you use? I ask because I would like to improve the quality of my blog.

I am trying to join Ringsurf, but didn't get my site up there yet. You can be sure I will be visiting your blog regularly now that I have found it.

  14. Hi my blogger friends, thank you for your comments-they mean so much to me:)

I only answer questions on my blog (I visit everyone's blog to say hello)...but there is one question:
    Pamela asked a question regarding
    Photography Lessons and my Camera.
NO, I've never had a lesson, haven't read the operating instructions that came with the camera, and don't know a thing about correct settings on my camera.
It is a Nikon D40 and I use a 300mm. lens for the zoom. I just 'feel' my way through my photos and snap when I feel it's right.
    Thanks for your lovely comments;)

  23. Wonderful photos. Reminds me of the Noyes poem.

THE wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees,
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas.

  26. Hi Jan, I'm gearing up for the backyard bird count this weekend! I was wondering if anyone would see my post yesterday--I meant to SAVE it and accidentally hit PUBLISH. I'd spent quite a bit of time writing it and I do plan to publish it at the end of today. This is my last day at work and wanted to wait until it was officially over (due to weird political situations at work). So it'll reappear, no worries, as will your comment, this evening! Glad you liked it--i don't normally post very personal stuff so was a bit nervous.

  27. Hi Maria, Thank you so much for your offer to send spring bulbs. I'm not really sure about the rules on that, but I tend to think it might not be allowed. Bulbs are plants and I don't think plants are allowed across the borders. You are so very kind to think of that! I wonder what you were thinking of? I have some bulbs and tubers to put in for summmer blooming...so I'm pretty well stocked up!
